World Cup Qualifier: Mikel Speaks Over Nigeria Vs Zambia Match

The captain of the Nigeria’s Super
Eagles, John Mikel Obi has expressed the daring need for his team to defeat the Zambian team if they must qualifier for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Although, Nigeria has 12 points placing the national team at the top of Group B World Qualifiers table but must win Zambia come October 7 at Uyo to secure their place in Russia.

Mikel said in a video posted on Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Twitter handle on Wednesday.

“I must admit that I applaud the resurgence of the Zambians this late in the qualifiers.”

“Beating Algeria home and away is no mean feat. We will take them very seriously on 7th October because they clearly have a new spirit. It is time we wrap this up.

“We have all shown professionalism, dedication and determination to be at the pole position in a group tagged ‘Group of Death’.

“Commendations must go to the entire team and the Coach, but we must finish it up in Uyo and secure our ticket right there.”
