The Baale Of Alagbede Community in Odigbo local government area of Ondo state, Chief Abiye Adefisaye has commissioned an industrial borehole built by for Public use by Rt. Honourable Mayowa Akinfolarin, the member Representing Odigbo & Ileoluji/okeigbo Federal constituency in the National Assembly, at Orita Alagbade Community.
Speaking at the event, Akinfolarin said: “water is life and as such it is highly imperative for the people of Orita Alagbede community community to enjoy clean and drinkable water”. He admonished them to manage the water project judiciously and ensure they maintain it.
Also Speaking at the event, the Monarch thanked the Akinfolarin for his kind gestures towards his people. He further emphasized that he who give water, gives life.
He also said water is a major problem of the said community, because many residents had dug wells that has cost them thousands of naira with some gulping 14 rings or more, yet they couldn’t get fresh and drinkable water.
He assured that the project will guarded and maintained.
The Monarch recalled that the Lawmaker was the one that facilitated electrification to the community and also donated a fuctional transformer to them, during his days in the Ondo state house of Assembly.
Also Speaking on behalf of women in the community, Mrs. Omowunmi Ayekomilogbon said they were happy for what the “Igwe of Odigbo LG politics” did for them.
A community leader, Alhaji Odepindan said Rt. Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin has always being good to them. He made it known that the said community was the first among other communities in Ile oluji/ oke igbo/ Odigbo federal constituency to request a project from him despite the fact that they didn’t vote for him, and he hearken to the plights of the community without thinking of the community shortcoming from the past. He now assured the Lawmaker that come rain come sun, Orita Alagbede community would always support him in any of his future political ambition.
Other completed Boreholes to be commissioned soon includes one each at Ileoluji and Okeigbo, and another one at Oni Tea of OniParaga ward.
