The Governor of Ekiti has paid his last respect to Pa Felix Ayegbusi, at the final burial ceremony of the late Politician held today at st. John’s Anglican Church, Agbaluku, Arigidi Akoko, Ondo state.
Fayemi, who was represented at the occasion by his Senior Special Assistant on Policy, Strategy and Speeches, Hon. Adegboyega Ajayi eulogised the indelible legacy of Ayegbusi, saying he lived his life for the propagation of progressive ideals. He added that the deceased served God and humanity to the best of his ability and that history will forever be kind to him.
Fayemi urged his children to emulate, maintain and sustain the goodwill that their father bequeathed to them.
He regretted that his demise has left a huge vacuum in the political firmament of not only Ondo State, but also South West as a whole while wishing him eternal rest.
The Lord Bishop of Akoko Anglican Diocese, The Most Rev’d Gabriel Akinbiyi while delivering his sermon at the event urged Nigerian leaders to remember that the earth is not a permanent abode.
He said : “We are digging up wealth, not knowing who will spend it when we leave. Remember that one day, death will come.”
Other dignitaries present at the event include the Governor of Ondo state, Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who was represented by the deputy Governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, the Speaker of the Ondo State house of assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun, Secretary General of the Afenifere, Pa Seinde Arogbofa among many others.
