How We Were Attacked In Abuja – Anti-Buhari Protest Co-convener, Adeyanju

The leader of “Concerned Nigerians” group and a co-convener of the ongoing anti-protest at Unity Fountains, Abuja, Prince Deji Adeyanju has revealed the issue that precipitated their attacks by some said pro-Buhari group yesterday.

Charly Boy, the leader of the “Our Mumu Don Do” movement, alongside anti-Buhari protesters escaped death by whiskers yesterday at Wuse market, the largest market in Abuja as his private car was bashed by hoodlums.

While narrating their scenario this morning, Adeyanju noted that his group only went to mobilize people from  Wuse market before they got attacked by hoodlums.

We didn’t go to Wuse market to protest. We heard our people there wanted us to come and speak with some other market people to convince them for support.

“We were already done with the mobilization before we got attacked by some people.”

The co-convener identified one of their attackers as Musa, a tax-force member, who wore a white apparel and challenged them at the entrance earlier in the morning.

He  also however insisted that the anti-buhari protesters are not discouraged by the different attacks they have been subjected to in barely 10 days demonstrations started instead, they remain focused on either seeing the resumption of President Buhari or resignation if he is not fit enough to govern

Speaking on the small number of co-protesters, Adeyanju said the attacks got their number reduced after the first attack by Police on the second day of protest.

“The government can feel the effects of our demonstration. We have received calls to stop the protest because it is constituting national embarrassment”, he affirmed.

He Went further by saying:

“The thing is not about the number. Nigeria is controlled by less than five cabals. I heard the country is at the moment run by the Chief of Staff.”

“Nigeria will progress by the number of Nigerians who can be critical in their ideas and reasoning”, ended Adeyanju.

Aside, Prince Deji Adeyanju, a former Publicity Secretary of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) denied being influenced politically noting he had already resigned as the member of the opposition party which is in the knowledge of the public.
