Military Aircraft crashes in Abuja

A Nigerian military aircraft marked “king Air 350” has just crash landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international Airport in Abuja after reporting an engine failure on its way to Minna.

The aircraft went down about fifteen minutes after takeoff.

At least seven Persons are Reportedly on board and are all presumed Dead.

Nigerian cable news online gathered that no survival has been recorded from passengers on board at Press time.

Fire fighters are however making efforts to quench to the fire resulting from the crash.

The Minister for Aviation, Mr. Hadi sirika while confirming the development said the accident appears to be fatal. He however Appealed for calm while military investigation is ongoing.

The plane, it was also gathered, had been used by security and intelligence agencies for reconnaissance mission over Sambisa forest and other areas of threat possed by insurgents.
