The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu has signed the value added Tax bill into law, as passed by the state House of Assembly, Nigerian Cable news online has gathered.
The governor made this disclosure on his official verified Facebook page few minutes ago.
“Earlier today, I signed into law the State VAT Bill as passed by the House of Assembly.”
“This bill, is for a law to charge VAT on certain goods and services”
“By this act, the Bill has now become a Law.”
“#ForAGreaterLagos” Sanwo-olu wrote.
The new law seeks to impose and charge VAT on certain goods and services in the state.
