The Super Eagles have just marked its first three-point in the 2018 World Cup tournament and the Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has a strong message to excite the national team on the evening’s victory.
After a woeful performance against Croatia in Nigeria’s opening match last Sunday, resulting to a scoreline of two goals to nill, the team came with a highly impressive comeback in Russia today, especially as its two winning foals in second half alone.
Through his media aide, Femi Adesina, President Buhari expressed a confidence in the team if the determination is maintained, acknowledging that we got paired in the ‘difficult group’, which apparently is seeming to be with the show-off in the 2018 World Cup round of 16.
Buhari also stated that the country can go very far with the same virtue.
“I am confident that if our players believe in themselves, they can qualify out of their difficult group and even go very far in the tournament,” because “with determination, nothing is impossible”, he opined.
Furthermore, the President urged all Nigerians to continue to rally round the Nigerian ambassadors with their prayers and other forms of support.
