Renowned philanthropist and proprietor of Sckye Hospital, Dr. Thomas-wilson Ikubese has again been honoured with a ‘Peace Ambassador’ Award by the Oodua Connect (Voice of Yoruba race), a news magazine at Ooni’s Palace, Enuwa Ile Ife.
The award, according to Mr. Olalekan Owolabi, the Magazine Publisher, is in recognition of Ikubese’s outstanding contribution towards the Humanitarian Service of Yoruba and Africa at large.
Speaking during the Award Presentation in Akure on Friday, Olalekan said;
“This is due to your leadership role, we also celebrates you for your immense contributions towards raising a better future for the younger generation”
The Friday’s award, Nigerian Cable news online recall, is the fourth in recent times, after those of the 5th, 19th of August and 21st November, 2021.
The renowned philanthropist had on the 19th of August, been decorated with the “Distinguished Personality In Humanitarian Services” award by the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Ondo State, during a Public lecture and Awards for distinguished Personalities held by the Journalists at Akure.
This news medium also earlier reported, how Ikubese had on Thursday, 5th August received an “Icon of Hope, Embodiment of Truth And Inspiration To Nigerian Youth” award from the Heritage Ambassadors Network(HAN).
Again, Ikubese was appreciated with a Meritorious Service To Humanity Award on Saturday 21st November, at the 50th Anniversary ceremony of the Salvation of Christ Mission Assembly Worldwide, held in Akure, the Ondo state capital city.
While reacting to the Friday’s Award, He dedicated it to Dr. Lola Bayode, the owner of the biggest Orphanage in Africa.
“I dedicate this award to Dr Lola Bayode who built a 600-capacity orphanage (Dorian Home) in Akure, said to be the largest in Africa.” He said.
